If 1777 had phones to text . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Enjoy!
Peter:
Check out my new poem and don’t forget to subscribe! Keepers keep. Leapers leap. Sleepers sleep. Reapers reap. Say, oh, I, say, call it what it is. Say, once more, I say, call it what it is. And the world will thank you. Yay, I, even I, thank you. Sincerely and yours forever (truly), The Great Midshipman of the Terrible and Fearsome Avalon
Captain Katie Rodgers:
Um, it’s charming . . . in a way. Keep working on it!
Marie:
What do u plan to do with that? Gonna sell it for supplies? Post it in the salon? Give it to the British?
Peter:
Glad u asked, my fellow crewmate. I thoughts dwell on quilling a series on poems and combining them into a hunky, chunky (real-leather bound) book. Perhaps I can donate it to the Avalon’s private library?
Captain Katie Rodgers:
Hunky chunky? That’s a new one for me
Tomas:
Sorry I didn’t reply soon. Was in an undercover meeting. Forgot to put my device on silent and the British captain dude wanted to see it. I must say he seemed entertained with your poem, Peter.
Peter:
I’m honored. Really. Did u tell him that I’m so honored?
Tomas:
basically
Captain Katie Rodgers:
So, Peter, what’s the next poem in the series?
Peter:
I’m calling it “The Thunder Beam” or “What a Stormy World”. Also, was thinking about “Baby, it’s storming outside” or “I Am the Storm” (which I would name the storm Harold for countless of reasons). However, they’re too . . . original. Know what I mean? Any thoughts?
Marie:
Totally the “The Thunder Beam”
Tomas:
“What a Stormy World” sounds like a whether adventure book to me
Captain Katie Rodgers:
Both are . . . unique.
Peter:
Katie, you’re my tie-breaker here. I need ya. I’ve been with you through fire and water, through winds and caves, through darkness and light, through mansions and heights, through pursuits and dinner puddings, through tears and barely a year (I’ll admit). You must not chicken out on me now! Believe in u. Go ahead and break the tie. (Just pick the right title). TY
Captain Katie Rodgers:
Sounds like a guilt trip
Peter:
Only pointing out the dire necessities of your excellent taste
Captain Katie Rodgers:
IDK. Sorry, Peter. I’m not good w/ names
Peter:
Fine. Fine. Fine. Fine. I’ll give u a pass. Tomas can just vote twice. Tomas, what’s your second vote?
Tomas:
Peter, votes just don’t work that way.
Peter:
Trust me. I’m a writer. I excel in communicating and making everybody happy. Right? Right. So, go on. What’s ur vote?
Tomas:
“What a Stormy World”? Peter, this isn’t how votes work. Ask someone else like . . .
Peter:
Who? My new admirer–the British captain? That’s your department. “What a Stormy World” works. And no worries, Marie, I’ll use “The Thunder Beam” another time. Whelp, better be a working. No rest 4 the weary. Thank u for ur insight and stay tuned for the announcing of my book’s release!
Tomas:
Sure. Anything 4 u, dude
