Hey, Everyone! Hope you had a great holiday and are enjoying our first full week of 2025. Crazy, right!? 2025 sounds so old. Lol. (; Real quick, I wanted to share some of my writing goals and plans for this year.
Guess what!?
This weekend I’m going to the Seaside Scribe Writer’s conference. The conference added another speaker too–Kate Huff who specializes in newsletters and freelance content writing. Super excited for her! The other four authors are blogger Edie Melson, Cindy Sproles (former editor and mentor of other authors), Vincent Davis (US veteran and Amazon International Bestseller), and Carrie Stuart Parks, who is the one critiquing some of our work. She is pretty neat too. She was a law enforcement instructor–teaching FBI, secret service, local police, and more. Lastly, Lynette Eason will be at the conference as a speaker. She has won several awards such as the Selah, the Carol Award, and more for her infinite suspense novels.
By now y’all probably can tell, I’m excited for this conference. It’s the 8-11th so Wednesday through Saturday. And . . . I’m flying there. Not gonna lie, I haven’t flown on a commercial airline since I was like 1 or 2. I’m probably gonna look like a really determined-not-to-be-lost girl along with the extreme tourist picture-taking. It’s gonna be great!
That is why I’m going to do several recaps of the conference for you guys next weekend. I’ll just highlight some things I learned and fill you in on the adventure. So, keep your eyes out on my social. (; Love to see you there!
